Wipac work closely with a number of specialist injection mould tooling manufacturers across Europe and Asia to ensure all tooling is produced to our own exacting standards and to those of our customers.
All tooling is approved for production via a thorough process of metrology and capability studies, managed by our dedicated team of tooling engineers.
CAE in the form of FEA mouldflow and distortion analysis is used early in the tool design stages to ensure that the cooling, gate and injection systems are all specified to achieve the required component quality and dimensional stability. This allows critical details such as gate positions, weld lines and split lines on the finished parts to be identified and optimised before the start of tool manufacture.
