Wipac starts testing full LED forward lighting
Following a two year concept and technology development programme Wipac has moved into the final stages of testing for our full LED forward lighting systems :
LED low beam module
Key to this advancement has been the in-house design and testing of an LED low beam projector module, with a design brief specific to our prestige customer base :
- Compact and lightweight LED module, with a significantly smaller visible lens and "x" dimension than xenon or halogen based projectors
- High performance and flexibility, with options to exceed typical xenon road illumination levels, or limit the output below the 2000lm threshold at which headlamp washer systems are legally required
- Effective wide angle illumination, negating the requirement for complex AFS or corner lighting
- Full system solution including active thermal management for the LEDs and an all new ultra-compact LED driver and ECU
Wipac LED dip beam projector module
The Dip beam module can be paired with an LED main beam projector, or main beam function from other LED optical technologies including multiple optics, reflector or fresnel based designs to create a full LED forward lighting system.
